After a 7 year break, we brought back the Bend Classic Mile last year. While it is settling in to it's new space on our calendar (NOW IN JUNE), we are super excited to host this fast and flat closed street mile. Challenge a friend, or work team, train for a personal best or simply come on out and have some downtown fun with us! Register early as spaces are limited and we think you'll have a blast.
Race Details
When: Saturday June 14th
Where: Downtown Bend, staging for the race will be here at the FootZone, with the start and finish just a few yards from the front door. (842 NW Wall St)

Now - May 18th: $35 adult, Youth (18 and under) $25
May 19th - June 13th: (or until race sells out): $45 adult, Youth (18 and under) $35
June 14th: Day off race registration available, in-store from 1-4 PM, $50 adult, Youth (18 and under) $40.
ALL registered participants will receive a commemorative Bend Classic Mile logo item, official time, and post-race refreshments!
Start Time: ~ 5:15. We'll need to have you staged early and our start time will be approximate based on the nature of fitting in between bike events. We have only a short time between races to stage everyone, race, and clear the streets for the next bike race! Please plan accordingly!
Packet Pickup: Saturday June 14th, Day of race bib pick up from 1-5 PM - Please consider getting your packet as early as possible to allow adequate time for staging. Please plan accordingly for downtown traffic, limited parking and getting into downtown as we expect delays due to road closures. Packet Pickup: at FootZone located in Downtown Bend at 842 NW Wall Street.

Pace: Due to our limited time slot in the event schedule ALL racers should be able to complete the mile in 10 minutes or under, unfortunately we can not accommodate walkers, dogs or strollers in this event.
Course: A circuit in downtown bend, please see the attached map, the event will be 1 mile and require ~ 1.5 laps of the bike race course. (slightly altered start location from the bike route with shared finish line on Wall St)

Just like last year, you'll start your run near the corner of Minnesota and Bond. The course will follow the same route as the bike criterium course and do 1 and 2/3 laps before crossing the same finish line as the cyclists, on Wall St, just past Minnesota. (See map below).

Refund Policy
Due to the nature and expense of putting on races and in attempts to keep these smaller, local races as affordable as possible, we are unable to process refunds for this race. Please double check your family calendars, and commitments before registering.
In the event of extreme conditions (fire, ice, extreme heat, or other), race directors will work with local public safety and our own medical advisors to determine if the conditions are safe for race participants and volunteers. In the event that conditions are deemed unsafe, race directors may modify or cancel the race at their sole discretion. In these extreme circumstances, as is true throughout the race industry, refunds will not be offered*. Most of the costs involved in producing a race happen long before you go to the start line. None of us have control over the weather, and we all share in the risk involved if Mother Nature intervenes and makes it unsafe to continue with the event.
